Building Something That Works in Real Life — with Christine Lieu-Guzauskas

The GrowthShifters Podcast, S2 Ep2: How to Build a Brand That Actually Supports You (with Christine Lieu-Guzauskas)

There’s a moment in building a business where everything starts to align. The brand is clear, the messaging feels right, and the structure is finally there.

Working with Christine Lieu-Guzauskas brought me into that moment. Through building my website, she helped translate my work into something more precise and more grounded that I actually stand inside of, instead of just conceptualize.

But after she helped me launch, I noticed myself hesitating with putting myself “out there.” Whether it was my podcast, or service offers, it wasn’t the content itself that was the issue, but the visibility and promotion. In other words, the parts requiring me to stay consistently seen.

I couldn’t ignore it, or blindly push through it, so I stopped and paid attention.

That’s part of what this episode represents.

In my conversation with Christine, we talk about what it takes to build something that actually works in real life. Not just something that looks good or sounds compelling, but something that is structured in a way that supports you.

We talk about process, capacity, and about how thoughtful design can reduce friction instead of adding to it.

One of the ideas that stayed with me from our conversation was Christine’s recommendation of The Having. It’s a book about wealth, but not in the traditional sense. It focuses on cultivating a sense of “having” in the present moment, rather than constantly reaching for what’s next. That shift has been significant for me and it’s changed how I think about success, momentum, and what it means to build something sustainable.

This episode sits at the intersection of structure and capacity and the ongoing work of showing up, even when it feels uncomfortable and messy.

Episode 2 is live.
