Advocacy

Using lived experience and inclusive education to shift systems and spark change.

Through public speaking, workshop facilitation, writing, and strategic advising, I help individuals and institutions address hate, build inclusive communities, and engage in meaningful dialogue that moves us forward.

You’re Not
Alone If:

You’re seeing increased polarization and hate in your school, organization, or community, and you want to respond intentionally, not reactively.

You’re committed to equity and inclusion, but aren’t sure how to navigate the conversations and implementation process.

You’re ready to do the deeper work of advocacy, not just awareness, but you need tools, support, and someone who’s lived it.

How I Support Advocacy Work:

I work with educators, nonprofits, policymakers, and community groups to create safer, more inclusive spaces, both online and offline.

Depending on your goals, advocacy work may include:

  • Consulting on hate prevention and counter-radicalization strategy

  • Designing or delivering equity and inclusion training

  • Collaborating on awareness campaigns, media, or curriculum

  • Facilitating courageous conversations that build community

  • Providing story-based education grounded in lived experience

  • Advising on policy language, public response, or educational tools

Each engagement is tailored to your needs, whether it's a one-time keynote or an ongoing partnership.

My 3-Part Advocacy Approach:

Acknowledge the Landscape

We start by honestly naming what’s happening. That includes the social context, the harm or challenges at hand, and the impact on your team or community.

Equip the Messengers

From frontline staff to executive leaders, I help your people understand how to respond with clarity and compassion without watering down the message.

Sustain the Shift

Change takes more than a single training. I provide tools, follow-up recommendations, and strategic frameworks to keep the conversation and the transformation going.

  • “I have had the great privilege of knowing Liz for a number of years. As such, I have had the opportunity to see her work and hear her speak many times. I am always struk by the honesty, clarity, and depth that Liz brings to every presentation. She speaks with real integrity and passion. Liz doesn’t early inform. She motivates, challenges and inspires those who listen to her to reflect and take actions themselves.”

  • “Thoughtful, wise, embracing, and able to connect with clients young and old are just some of the the words that come to mind when I think of Liz Frederiksen and her work most especially on anti-racism, antisemitism and hate. Having travelled down some dark roads herself, she knows where the pitfalls are and can translate them clearly to young people. Her ability to connect with teenagers and adults alike is unparalleled and time spent with Liz is time well learned. I have worked with her often, Liz Frederiksen is the real deal.”
